Eighteenth Hole

Hole 18 - Home

The closing par 5 is long, but it plays downhill, and the elevated tee means you have a real chance to go for the green in 2. You’ll want to be on the right-hand side of the fairway to have the best approach, as two bunkers on the left-hand side protect the green.
The green slopes away from the fairway, so stopping the ball on the green from a distance requires excellent judgement. There is a real chance to pick up a shot to finish your round. But stray off line and suddenly, you’ll be grateful to finish with a 5.

Insider's View

A generous par 5 or so, I’m told. Find the fairway short of the bunker at 241 yards from the elevated tee, and the choice of weapon is yours. Fairway metal to the green, leaving a pitch over the greenside bunkering to the left, or two medium irons in through the narrow offset neck. Either way, the tree, ditch and out of bounds right strangely never seem to be that far away.
