We held the Ladies 3 Ball Alliance Open event on the beautiful, warm, sunny Sunday of May 12th, and the threatened thunderstorms never appeared. Thank you to everyone who participated.
The course remained impeccable despite the heavy rainfall over the past few months. We thank Gareth and his dedicated greenkeeping team for their exceptional work.
The winning score was an outstanding 78 points, a remarkable achievement by Emma Gibbins (Handsworth), Sarah Smewin and Keiron Standon (both Druids Heath).
In second place was an all-Handsworth 3-ball team of Tracy Hampton, Jill Fletcher, and Sherree Thompson, who also had 78 points but were pipped by a point on the back nine countback.
Seeing plenty of Handsworth ladies in the prizes is always great.
We extend our thanks to Emma Gibbins and Paul Alldritt (Assistant Professional) for their hard work and to the catering staff and bar team for keeping us fed and watered on such a warm day. Your contributions are invaluable to the success of our events.
